Bio
Sophie Abbassian is an Oregon-based artist working primarily in drawing and painting. Her work deals with themes of mythology and imagination, ecology and animism, history and restoration. Her artworks are constructed through numerous layers, glazes and hidden details. Abbassian also works as a portraitist, book illustrator and graphic designer. She completed her undergraduate education in art at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR.
